Commission Details
Rates and Terms
- When you refer a visitor to LetMeGo Ireland and that visitor creates an account, LetMeGo Ireland will pay you a 5% commission on all bookings that he or she creates (as a traveller) for 3 years following the moment that he or she originally followed your referral link (as long as the visitor doesn't click on a referral link from another referrer before creating the account).
- When you refer a visitor to LetMeGo Ireland and that visitor already has an account with us, LetMeGo Ireland will pay you a 5% commission on all bookings made by the visitor (as a traveller) during the 365 days from the moment he or she originally follows your referral link (as long as the visitor doesn't click on a referral link from another referrer before creating the booking).
- When you refer a visitor to LetMeGo Ireland, and that visitor then creates an account and an accommodation listing, LetMeGo Ireland will pay you a 5% commission on all bookings obtained by that accommodation listing for 3 years from the moment the visitor followed your referral link (as long as the visitor doesn't click on a referral link from another referrer before creating the account).
Please see the exception below for important information.
Base for the Commission
Commissions are calculated using the total cost of the booking, including all fees and taxes, as reported by the hosts through LetMeGo Ireland.
Timing
LetMeGo Ireland bases our business model on commissions, which we receive from accommodations each time we provide them with a booking. Once we receive our commission, we will credit you for the appropriate commission. We have to give both travellers and accommodations sufficient time to report a cancellation, if one occurred. Based on these factors, you can generally expect to earn your commission 15 days after the check-out-date for the booking in question.
In other words, commissions are credited to your account when these two requirements are satisfied: a) 15 days have passed after LetMeGo Ireland has received its booking commission in full from the accommodation, and b) 15 days have passed after the check-out date of the booking.
You don't have to worry about accommodations not paying their commissions to us. While it happens occasionally, we make sure that those accommodations don't continue using LetMeGo Ireland.
Exceptions
The primary objective of ReferToEarn is to spread the word about LetMeGo Ireland. The following exceptions are in place to prevent users from abusing the system, or from getting discounts on their own bookings (which is not the objective of ReferToEarn):
- You won't get commissions on your own bookings.
- If you created or manage an accommodation listing in LetMeGo Ireland and you refer travellers who book it, neither do you pay a commission to LetMeGo Ireland, nor do you earn a commission from LetMeGo Ireland. However, if they book other lodgings, you earn commissions. Learn more.
- When a booking triggers more than one commission for you (for example, a booking is made by a traveller whom you referred, and that traveller books an accommodation listing that you also referred) you will receive only one of the commissions.
- Infrequently, the hosts at the accommodations report bookings, instead of the travellers. In these rare cases, due to technical limitations, the only commission that would be paid would go to the user whose referral led to the accommodation's listing.
- LetMeGo Ireland allows hosts to handle all their bookings using our system, including bookings made by travellers that were not obtained through LetMeGo Ireland. Hosts don't pay LetMeGo Ireland a commission for these bookings and, as such, they won't generate a commission for you. This strategy helps LetMeGo Ireland obtain more travellers that may, in turn, trigger more commissions for you.
Getting Paid
Currencies
You can be paid in any of 10+ different currencies, and can change your currency preference at any time. If you refer users who then create bookings in a currency other than your own, we will automatically convert your commission to the currency you prefer, using the prevailing exchange rate on the day that the commission is credited to your LetMeGo Ireland account.
Payment Methods
We offer two payment methods: PayPal and bank wire.
PayPal
Upon your request, we will transfer your commission balance to your PayPal account of choice. If you don't have a PayPal account yet, click here to create one. We use PayPal because it is the most popular payment transfer system in the world, and is therefore the most convenient resource of its kind for most people.
Please keep the following in mind:
- If you reside in certain countries, you may not be able to receive payments through PayPal. Most countries don't have this issue, though. You can check here.
- In some countries and with certain types of accounts, PayPal may charge a small fee when you receive a payment from us, and/or when you retrieve your money from your PayPal account. In most cases, you won't pay any fees, though. For example: if you have a personal PayPal account, you reside in the United States, and you ask PayPal to transfer the money directly to your bank account, PayPal won't charge you anything extra.
Bank Wire
Upon your request, we will transfer your commission balance to any bank account anywhere in the world. Unfortunately, there is a EUR 19.75 fee for this payment method, which banks assess for this process. This fee will be deducted from your balance. The minimum balance to request a bank wire is EUR 39.50. Although most bank wires go through in less than 72 hours, some may take up to two weeks to clear.
How We Track Commissions
We use cookies, but we don't depend on them for the commissions that you will receive over the long term.
When a visitor follows your referral link, we automatically place a cookie on his/her computer that allows us to know that he/she was referred by you. Thus, when the user creates a booking, we know we owe you a commission.
In addition, when the user creates an account or lists an accommodation, we use the information stored in the cookie to mark the user or accommodation listing as referred by you. After the user is marked, we no longer need cookies to do the tracking. As a result, you will earn commissions even if the user decides to user another computer to do bookings through LetMeGo Ireland.
You also have full access to stats that provide real-time data on the visits, bookings, user accounts, and accommodation listings you have referred.
No Spam Policy
We encourage creativity in your promotion of LetMeGo Ireland, and we are happy to help you make money in the process, but we don't allow activities that can be considered illegal, or that could damage our reputation (and yours). Therefore, of course, we do not tolerate spam sent on our behalf.
