Sirce is a creative and outgoing Chilena who enjoys the company of others. After traveling and backpacking to many places she decided to stop for a while and create a kind of place she had enjoyed through years of travels…A backpacker’s hostel.
Hostal Vermont in Osorno-Chile opened 3 years ago and it has been a wonderful experience; that is why this summer she and her friend Ignacio are working hard to position Hostal Casa Mawenco as one of the coolest and most comfortable place to stay in Beautiful Puerto Varas-Chile.
Interested in art, architecture, cooking, baking, hanging around the house, exploring the city, going on weekend trips, painting, live music, natural products and recycling.
She also loves the outdoors, snowboarding/skiing and hiking, camping, bird watching and going to the beach.

Casa Mawenko is a very welcoming blue house located a few steps from the city center where you'll find everything you need, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, nightclubs and the beach....
The neighborhood is very quiet and the hostel has everything you need to relax.
There is a nice living room with a fire place where you can warm up when it's a bit cold outside, you can swap your old book with a new one, make yourself tea or coffee for free and use the kitchen anytime you want...
You can also spend time in the big garden at the back of the house, make barbecues with new friends, talk around a bonfire, enjoy a relaxing evening soaking in the wood burning hot tub and/or take a nap in the shade of the trees....
The price of one night includes the sheets and linen, free use of the Internet and wi-fi, and all the touristic information you need. Our friendly staff can also help you out booking any activity you would like to do during your stay.
